Our Story

It started with one tutor.

Years ago, I was a student who couldn't write a decent English essay to save my life. Then I met a tutor who didn't just teach me grammar. They taught me how to think, argue, and own what I knew. That one relationship changed my academic trajectory.

What does the free trial lesson involve?

A complimentary 60-minute one-to-one lesson with a hand-picked tutor, usually held online via Zoom. The tutor will use the session to assess your child's strengths and weaknesses, identify gaps in their understanding, and start building a tailored plan. You get a real lesson, a real assessment, and a sense of fit. No payment details required to book, no commitment to continue.
Are lessons online or in-person?

Both. Most of our tutoring runs online via Zoom for flexibility and access to our best tutors across Sydney. In-person sessions are available throughout the Hills District depending on tutor location and availability.
How do you match a tutor to my child?

We consider subject, year level, your child's current academic position, learning style, and personality. Our tutors are diverse in temperament. Some are structured and methodical, others warmer and more flexible. The match is intentional, not random.
How much does tutoring cost?

Rates depend on the tutor and year level. Premium tutors with state-ranking credentials are priced higher. We discuss exact rates during your free consultation so we can recommend the right tutor for your child's needs and budget, not the other way around.
What's the typical commitment?

Weekly one-hour sessions during the school term is the standard cadence. There's no lock-in contract. Most families book a term at a time and continue as long as it's serving their child. You can pause or end any time with reasonable notice.
What if we need to cancel or reschedule?

No fee for cancellations with 24+ hours notice. Late cancellations within 24 hours are charged at 50%. We always try to find a make-up slot within the same week when life gets in the way.
How long until we see results?

Most students show measurable improvement within 6-8 weeks of consistent sessions. Confidence usually improves before marks do. Our reviews include grade jumps like D to B and C to A, but these come from sustained work, not a single lesson.
What year levels and subjects do you cover?

Year 7 through Year 12 (HSC). Mathematics (Standard, Advanced, Extension 1 and 2), English (Standard, Advanced, Extension 1 and 2), Sciences, Economics, Legal Studies, Business Studies, Modern History, and Studies of Religion.
